Maths Week 2012

National Maths Week began on October 15th 2012. 3rd and 4th class took part in many fun activities during Maths Week. Some of our activities included board games, card games, and games on our Interactive White Board. On Thursday, we had a Maths trail and learned lots about maths around our school. It was good fun!

In 1st and 2nd Class we set up Maths stations and in groups we spent time at each. It was great fun!
The stations were: Snakes and Ladders, Maths Jenga, Bump Game, Maths Trail, Smartboard Game and Maths Bingo.
We also listened to and sang along with this great rap about adding double figures. Just copy and paste this link to find it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ljPKoNJH1Jg

We had great fun in Junior and Senior Infants during Maths Week. We had different stations set up and we got to play games like BINGO and Snakes and Ladders. We made some maths puzzles and made pictures out of shapes. We also made some patterns using pegs and peg boards.
